Heat accumulator tanks

A heat accumulator (heat storage or buffer tank) is designed to accumulate thermal energy when there is a surplus of it in the heating system, as well as to release this heat when there is a shortage of it, i.e. when the heating unit is not in operation. This device also enables a solid fuel boiler to be operated safely, preventing the system from boiling over and thereby avoiding boiler explosion. Efficient operation of a solid fuel boiler without a heat storage tank is IMPOSSIBLE!! The efficiency of the boiler is dramatically reduced without using a tank; the heat literally goes down the tube. And no valves or combustion controls can help you achieve efficient combustion without a tank! And last but not least, if you want to store heat at night and use it during the day, that is also a task that can be solved with a heat accumulator!!

Heat sources for heat accumulators may be the following:

  • Solid fuel boilers
  • Solar collectors
  • Electric boilers
  • Thermal pumps
  • Gas-fired boilers

The heat accumulator can additionally provide your home with hot water (models with a coil)

Tanks of HFWT series are a breakthrough in hot water supply!

Heat accumulators with hot water supply coil

Buffer tanks with coil for hot water supply are a breakthrough in water supply systems. A tank of this series allows hot water supply heating in a flow manner. How it works:

A high-capacity stainless steel heat exchanger (coil) is installed inside the heat accumulator, transferring the heat of the heat transfer fluid heated inside to the water from hot water supply flowing through the heat exchanger. Therefore, the water from your borehole will have time to be heated from 8°C to 60°C or more when passing through the heat exchanger.

What you get at the end of this process is fresh hot water!

Indirect water heaters

Indirect water heaters are designed for domestic hot water systems in a country house.

  • Cost effectiveness. Compared to electric water heaters, an indirect one heated by a gas-fired boiler provides cost savings by a factor of 3 up to 10. Compared to a standalone gas-fired water heater, an indirect one is more advantageous because it does not require any changes in the gas project or a separate chimney.
  • Durability. A heat exchanger of an indirect water heater becomes cluttered with limescale much more slowly than that of an electric water heater, and this does not pose any particular risk to it.
  • Using the following unconventional heat sources: gas-fired boiler, hot sanitary water, solar collector, solid fuel boiler, heat pump, electric boiler.

Indirect water heaters

A cold accumulator is a device similar to a heat accumulator in terms of design and can therefore also accumulate and store heated or chilled water or a water solution and non-freezing liquids.

The S-TANK accumulator is capable of handling all certified propylene glycol and ethylene glycol based fluids as well as alcohol solutions. The operating range of CT series is between -40 and +95 degrees. But for operation at such critical temperatures as -40, the tank comes with reinforced insulation.

The CT series is often used to ensure correct operation of chillers and high-power solid fuel boilers. Large flange connections are convenient for industrial installations. And the drain hole at the bottom of the tank allows emptying it if necessary. The top part of the tank has a ½" hole with internal thread for installation of control devices or thermometers, manometers, various sensors.

Hot water supply electric heating tanks

Our product range includes several types of such tanks.

AT ELEKTRO is a carbon steel tank without any internal coating, designed for heating systems only. The tank is designed for heating and storage of process water using electric heating elements (2 x 2" holes; maximum capacity of heating elements is 2*15 kW. optionally - up to 8*15 kW) The tank can also be heated using an external plate heat exchanger. It comes with removable non-combustible (B-s2d0 class) 65-70 mm thermal insulation and reinforced packaging on a wooden pallet with a crate!! It can be transported horizontally in several tiers. Optional possibility of ordering an inspection flange, operating pressure up to 10 bar (standard 6 bar) and A,B,C class thermal insulation according to ErP are available!!

AT ELEKTRO MONO - this tank is made of carbon steel with an AISI 304 stainless steel heat exchanger. This tank is also designed for heating systems, but its coil can also be used for hot water supply preparation in flow mode. Alternatively, it can be used for connecting an auxiliary source/consumer. The tank is designed to be heated by electric heating elements (2 x 2" holes; maximum capacity of heating elements is 2*15kW, optionally - up to 8*15kW) or from an auxiliary source via the built-in heat exchanger of the tank.

AT ELEKTRO Enamelled - this tank is made of carbon steel and coated with high-quality German glass ceramic enamel on the inside. The tank is designed for hot water supply preparation. The tank has a magnesium anode installed inside, as well as an inspection flange in the upper torisphere and several holes for heating elements installation, pipes for hot water supply fluid makeup, recirculation and discharge.

AT ELEKTRO MONO Enamelled - this tank is made of carbon steel and coated with high-quality German glass ceramic enamel on the inside. The tank is designed for hot water supply preparation. The tank has a spiral heat exchanger for connecting auxiliary heat source/consumer installed inside, as well as a magnesium anode installed inside; the tank has an inspection flange in the upper torisphere and several holes for setting up heating elements installation, pipes for hot water supply fluid makeup, recirculation and discharge. The tank is designed for heating and storage of hot water supply by electric heating elements (2 x 2" holes; maximum capacity of heating elements is 2*15kW, optionally - up to 8*15kW) or from an auxiliary source via the built-in heat exchanger of the tank. It comes with removable non-combustible (B-s2d0 class) 65-70 mm thermal insulation, protective magnesium anode (optionally - non-serviceable titanium anode) and reinforced packaging on a wooden pallet with a crate!! It can be transported horizontally in several tiers. Optional possibility of ordering an inspection flange, operating pressure up to 10 bar (standard 6 bar) and A,B,C class thermal insulation according to ErP are available!!

SS, SS ELEKTRO - this tank is made of AISI 304 stainless steel and is designed for heating and storage of hot water supply from electric heating elements (2 holes x 2"; maximum capacity of heating elements is 2 x 15 kW. optionally - up to 8*15 kW) The tank can also be heated using an external plate heat exchanger. It comes with removable non-combustible (B-s2d0 class) 65-70 mm thermal insulation, protective magnesium anode (optionally - non-serviceable titanium anode) and reinforced packaging on a wooden pallet with a crate!!
