A cold accumulator is a device similar to a heat accumulator in terms of design and can therefore also accumulate and store heated or chilled water or a water solution and non-freezing liquids. The S-TANK accumulator is capable of handling all certified propylene glycol and ethylene glycol based fluids as well as alcohol solutions. The operating range of CT series is between -40 and +95 degrees. But for operation at such critical temperatures as -40, the tank comes with reinforced insulation. The CT series is often used to ensure correct operation of chillers and high-power solid fuel boilers. Large flange connections are convenient for industrial installations. And the drain hole at the bottom of the tank allows emptying it if necessary. The top part of the tank has a ½” hole with internal thread for installation of control devices or thermometers, manometers, various sensors.
A cold accumulator is used in refrigeration system design for two purposes:
The use of a cold accumulator in air conditioning or refrigeration unit systems offers the following benefits:
The tank is designed to accumulate cold liquids from various sources, as well as to build cold supply systems.
Its distinctive feature is large sized flange connections (DN 50 to DN 300) (threaded connection pipes are optionally available).
The tank is designed to accumulate cold/hot liquids from various sources, and to build cold/heating/hot water supply systems.
Its distinctive feature is large sized flange connections (DN 50 to DN 300).
