The efficiency of the boiler is dramatically reduced without using a tank; the heat literally goes down the tube. And no valves or combustion controls can help you achieve efficient combustion without a tank! And last but not least, if you want to store heat at night and use it during the day, that is also a task that can be solved with a heat accumulator!!
